Company Overview

Utility Engineering Corporation (UE) is a full-service engineering firm headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with additional offices in Amarillo, Texas, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Omaha, Nebraska. UE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zachry, based in San Antonio, Texas. UE has completed coal, gas, and plant betterment projects for utilities, industrial facilities, cogeneration facilities, developers, and other energy service providers.
The origin of UE dates back to the late 1940s as a design group within Southwestern Public Service Company (SPS).
UE also has extensive project experience working with construction companies, large power equipment manufacturers, industrial clients, and independent power producers. With over 450 employees, UE is large enough to design major projects and small enough to respond and adapt to customer needs.
