Overview
Sev1Tech is looking for a AutoCAD Drafter. The slected candidate will prepare, update and review AutoCAD drawings for Navy shore installation projects, such as Installation Requirements Drawings (IRD), Installation Design Plans (IDP) and As-Built drawings. Perform internal and enterprise reviews of IRD, IDP and As-Built shore installation AutoCAD drawings prior to customer submission for accuracy and consistency throughout the drawing package according to the Shore Installation Platform Handbook (SIPH). This includes proper use of AutoCAD attributes, proper utilization of AutoCAD templates, and compliance with company and NAVWAR standards.Hourly Range: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Must have or be eligible for a security clearance up to Secret.
Can demonstrate working knowledge of the SIPH (Shore Installation Process Handbook) requirements as they relate to CAD
Performs product development task drawings for new components andInstallation Design Packages (IDPs) usingAutoCAD.
Maintain and modify component designs to provide product definition toengineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
Work with CAD Supervisor, Project Managers and Lead Field Technicians and installation team members to collaborate on product designs from concept throughproduction for systems like access control system extensions, CCTV, Intrusion Detection Systems upgrades, and enhancements.
Experience updating existing AutoCAD drawing "red lines" to current state.
Create and maintain detail electrical and floorplan drawings and maintain assembly drawings.
Calculate dimensions, allowances and technical specifications involved in accordance with established best practices.
Requires organization skills including the ability to communicate complex ideas visually.
Proficient in the MS Office Suite software.
Ability to apply basic math skills to compute scaling and formulas.
Ability to read, understand and interpret technical documents.
Perform job duties under deadlines/scheduling commitments.
Qualifications
Navy and/or NIWC Command Control Computer Communications and Intelligence (C4I) background related to shore installation upgrades.
Network Installation Technician experience.
Military training and background in Electronics fields Familiarity with networking diagrams, concepts, and components.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Dynamic Blocks and Attributes.
3+ years AutoCAD experience.
3+ years working with Electronic Secuirty (ESS) physical security systems such as Access Control and Intrusion Detection systems to include CCTV, PA, and Audio/ Video.
3+ years experience with the Navy Shore Platform Installation Handbook (SIPH).
Currently possesses an active Secret Clearance
