JOB SUMMARY

This CAD position within our engineering department is responsible for maintaining and updating engineering documentation required for the Flory equipment line. The CAD Drafter I will work closely with Engineers and other Designers to keep all documentation current.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in maintaining all documentation required to manufacture and support current equipment line of 20+ models including, but not limited to:

• 3D Modeling using SOLIDWORKS
• Fabrication, Weldment & Assembly Drawings
• Parts, Operator's & Electrical Manuals
• Maintain BOMs, MRP data, and engineering change record documentation

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years of on the job experience in SOLIDWORKS
• Experience with Engineering & Support Software, such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Foxit, or Adobe.
• Good mechanical background.

PREFERRED

• Sheet metal design experience.
• Basic understanding of Off-Highway equipment.
• Comfortable communicating with managers, shop personnel, suppliers, and customers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Regularly spend long hours sitting.
• Frequently lift, push, pull, grasp, grip, and walk.
• Occasionally bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crawl, climb, and stand.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work indoor or outdoor depending on assignment. Indoor environment: cold, heat, dust, fumes, airborne particles, minimal to moderate noise levels, machinery, moving equipment. Outdoor environment: rain, extreme cold, wind, extreme heat, dust, moderate to loud noises, machinery, moving equipment.
• Safety requirements: safety glasses, hearing protection, protective footwear, and gloves.
• Additional protective equipment may be required depending on task or job duty performed.

SALARY RANGE   

• $25 -$38 per hour D.O.E.
